Adam Clarke's Commentary on the Whole Bible is a monumental work, contained in six volumes, each consisting of nearly 1,000 pages. It is renowned as one of the most comprehensive commentaries on the Bible authored by a single individual.

For over a century, Adam Clarke's commentary has served as a standard reference within theological circles. It has been widely utilized by scholars across various evangelical denominations, garnering recognition for its thorough and authoritative scholarship embraced by both Arminians and Calvinists. This has led to Adam Clarke being bestowed with the title of "Prince of Commentators."

The distinguished British scholar commenced his endeavors on the commentary with the New Testament on May 1, 1798, and this section was first published in 1810. Despite facing challenges due to declining eyesight, Clarke persevered with his work on the Old Testament, ultimately completing it on March 28, 1825. The comprehensive commentary spanning eight volumes was published the subsequent year.

Adam Clarke dedicated the remainder of his life to refining his original work. Upon finishing his revisions at the conclusion of Revelation, he inscribed the words: "Finished correcting for a new edition, Jan. 9, 1832." Tragically, a few months later, he passed away.
